EXCLUSIVE SETHENGEL.ORG PREMIER:WANDERING by OPTIONS/////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\This band-arrangement of WANDERING was conceived several months after Vivid Trace was released. I arranged it in real-time at a practice with the band, which was then comprised of James Ringness (Retirement Party) on drums, Max Green (Great Deceivers) on Bass, and Zach Elias (Panelist) on Guitar.I write and record often, and it's usually a solitary exercise - it occurred to me a couple of weeks ago that it might be fun to try and record this arrangement by myself, so I gave it a shot. I had fun with it, feel satisfied with how it turned out, and think it provides a nice contrast to the sparseness of the original recording.
Over the last few years, I've become increasingly interested in the way that songs can change & evolve naturally over time, past the release of an album version. Learning to look at things from different angles and recognizing the fluid nature of music, has helped me stay creatively invigorated and engaged, and I'm thankful for that.
